Office # 2 - Saturday Morning

Since Goose was a teacher now he figured he should at least hold office hours in case any visitors his students had wanted to speak to him.

Of course he didn’t think the rest of his team would want to join him but he was sadly mistaken and he found himself in his office with the rest of the Series 5 Galaxy Ranger team.

He was going to be lucky if his office withstood this visit.

“You know you don’t have to do this,” he was saying, “it’s only for a few hours,”

“and miss the opportunity to see my Gooseman being a teacher,” Doc smirked, “I for one don’t mind,”

Goose sighed, it was going to be a long few hours.

It was rather convenient that the next teacher she was visiting had an office right next door to her last one and so she didn’t have very far to go, she was also perhaps the most intrigued because out of Alara’s classes it was perhaps one of the more academic based subjects that she was taking and she could at least tell their parents that one of Alara’s subjects was engineering.

She stood outside the doorway and knocked, “hello?”

"Come in," Goose called and silently hoped that everyone would behave themselves, especially Doc.

He knew that was asking a lot but well stranger things had happened before.

Solana looked around the office, she wasn't expecting so many people, "I'm looking for a 'Shane Gooseman?" she said, "I'm Solana Kitan, I'm Alara's sister,"

"Why hello there," Doc said with his most charming smile before Goose had the chance to respond, "I'm Doctor Walter Hartford, my friends call me Doc," he extended his hand to shake hers.

Solana blushed slightly, "uh ... hello Doc," she said as she shook his hand, "it's nice to meet you,"

"The pleasure's all mine," he said as he bent down and kissed her hand and grinned, "do you want to go and get a drink later?"

"That's enough Doc!" Goose finally managed to interrupt the conversation and stop it before it could get any more awkward, "I'm Alara's teacher, Solana, hello," he tried to bring the focus back to the main reason Solana was there.

"It's nice to meet you all," she nodded around the room with a smile, "you're teaching Alara engineering?"

“I am,” he confirmed, “she seems to have a good grasp on the subject despite it being mainly 20th and 21st century engineering,”

“I was quite surprised to see Alara sign up for an engineering class,” Solana admitted, “she doesn’t normally go for the academic based subjects so I’m pleased to hear that she’s doing quite well,” she paused, “that must be a bit strange, teaching someone from the 25th century,”

"Well we come from 2106 ourselves, so it's not completely out of the ordinary for us," he told her, "there's a girl in class from 1952 so a wide range of time periods are represented, it can make class quite interesting,"
