The Preserve - Saturday Morning

notagooseWith the exception of going to class, Goose has spent most of the past week handwavily in his room. He had even stopped his training for that week as he had found it difficult to concentrate and that had kept going until his last class on Thursday because he decided he'd had enough and was going to spend the last couple of days back home on BETA Mountain.
He had gotten back earlier that morning and when he discovered that whatever had been the cause of the strange sensations he had been getting all week seemed to have gone, he was back to his usual training run through the preserve.
He was making his way back to the dorm when the cries of "DAD, DAD, DAD!" could be heard and he found a small child running towards him and wrapping her arms around his waist.
"Star?" he blinked, remembering her visit from last year.
