notagooseI don't normally do these but I figured I'd do one for Goose, since he is a fairly complicated character.
Shane 'Goose' Gooseman (The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers)
Goose is a genetically engineered soldier called a Supertrooper, a result from a program designed to bring about the ultimate super soldier but failed. As a result of a toxic gas that was injected into the barracks late one night at Wolf Den by a civilian, the Supertroopers were exposed to the gas and became insane and revolted. Goose was in the firing range at the time and remained unaffected, leaving him the only sane Supertrooper. Even though several of the Supertroopers were caught and cyrogenically frozen, a handful still remained at large.
In exchange for not being put on ice Goose agreed to enlist as a Galaxy Ranger and act as a bounty hunter to bring in the regenade Supertroopers, a fact that he is not that happy about but he knows that he doesn't have much choice in the matter. After training at the Academy, it wasn't long before Goose was assigned to the new Series 5 team led by Captain Zachery Foxx.
Even though he wasn't supposed to have any living donors it was revealed that Commander Joseph Walsh (head of BETA Mountain and at the time head of the Supertrooper program) had put his own DNA into Goose during his creation, thus technically making him his father. Goose doesn't yet know of this fact and should it come to light it would have serious implications for both him and Commander Walsh. The only other people to know of Goose's heritage were Dr. Owen Nagata and Senator Eric Wheiner, Wheiner only found out the truth by accident but it was through a series of blackmail and "deals" between him and Walsh that the two agreed to keep quiet about each other's secrets.
Goose is pre canon and I've also slightly tweaked his background to make Wolf Den happen when he was thirteen instead of fifteen. As there was still some time before he was old enough to be able to enlist as a Galaxy Ranger, Goose travelled with Commander Walsh - moving from military base to military base and at times being run out once it was discovered that he was a Supertrooper.
As his options began to run out Walsh began to look into the possibility of sending Goose to boarding school, slowly realizing that Goose needed a chance at stability and so he started to search for an appropriate school that would take him and to also get the necessary approval that he needed from the Board of Leaders - when he came across Fandom High, it seemed to be the solution that he was looking for.
Due to his growing up at Wolf Den, Goose is socially awkward and has trouble interacting with other people - mainly because he is wary of how they'd react to finding out about his background and also because he doesn't understand most human concepts and customs. He will be trying to learn how to fit in and to be more human, which will have varying results as most of the time he will be confused as to how he should behave in social settings.
Goose won't be openly talkative about his past and as such if he does refer to any incidents he will briefly mention 'military school' as a cover to Wolf Den. He also won't be revealing the fact that he is a Supertrooper unless he completely trusts the person that he is talking to.
As a Supertrooper Goose has internal bio defenses that give him the ability to withstand any attack, whether it be internal or external, provided that his body has survived the initial exposure. He can change his molecular structure to fit in with his surrounding environment (ie. if he is underwater he will develop gills) but he is not a metamorph as his powers are purely reflective. Goose also has heightened senses, the ability to heal and to a certain extent he can also mimic other people's powers. With his Series 5 implant Goose can activate his powers instantly and have more control with them but without it the reaction time can vary between minutes and hours.
Goose is a weapons experts and is skilled with any type of blaster, he is also a talented pilot even though he has a habit of crashing/blowing up the ships that he flies.
. Goose is tall, standing at 7" and he has a strong muscular build, short blond hair and bright green eyes. It's fairly easy to pick him out in a crowd, even if he is trying not to be noticed.
. He bears a strong resemblance to Clint Eastwood as his character was heavily influenced by the actor.
. Speaks in a Western drawl.
. Is soft spoken, even when angry he barely raises his voice.
. Doesn't have much fashion sense. Will mostly be wearing a variant of his black cowboy outfit picturedhere
. Tends to take a 'Shoot first, ask questions later' approach when it comes to battle.
. Loves it when he gets the chance to shoot something and or/blow it up.
. Tracy, 23, also plays Naomi, Liz and Andros, from the evil timezone of AEST and as such my availability is mostly limited to early mornings/late evenings EST.
