Coming out of the portal hadn't been that much of a shock to Max, after all he had come through it once before and being a student at Fandom High himself, he had become used to the weirdness.
Star, on the other hand, wasn't so sure despite the stories that she had heard from Max and Josie about the time that they came to Fandom. She remained close to her brother, not to sure what was going on.
This time Max knew where to start, so he guided her up the dorms but they were halfway there when Star spotted someone very familiar and broke out at a run towards him, "DAD!" she cried, "DAD!" ...
